Are You Turning Away Non-SSD/SSI Cases?

you don’t have to anymore.

According to a 2018 survey of nearly 2,000 legal professionals, 84% of those polled believe bottom line growth is the top indicator of firm success. While 75% feel improving client care and satisfaction will help them reach their goals.

Similarly, if you’re like most attorneys who focus on Social Security Disability (SSD) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) cases, you’re constantly trying to grow revenue while improving the overall client experience. But when it comes to growing your revenue there are only two ways to do it, either increase your case volume, or increase your payout per case.

Since the government controls the payout on these cases, and the fee cap has not increased since 2009, the only other way to grow your practice without taking on more volume is to work disability cases outside SSD and SSI.

I’m talking about Short-term Disability, Long-term Disability, ERISA, SERS, STRS & OPERS cases. The good news is you’re likely already attracting these individuals to your firm. The problem is you have little experience working these types of cases, so most of the time you end up turning away good opportunities – and good people.

But you don’t have to turn them away anymore…

Hi, I’m Scott

I’m here to help

If your marketing and reputation are bringing in non-SSD and SSI case opportunities, you shouldn’t have to turn them away. You should be able to help them get the benefits they deserve and keep that revenue inside your practice.

As a fellow disability attorney, I know how challenging it is to grow a practice. That’s why I co-counsel with Ohio’s top Social Security attorneys on complex ERISA and state disability cases.

When we work together: you make sure your clients get the skilled representation they need… you gain experience outside of SSD and SSI … you work less and earn more.

And we build a partnership that makes a real difference in people’s lives.

The Co-Counseling Process

Here’s how it works:

Identify Opportunities

Pay attention to the number of calls your office gets from OPERS/STRS/SERS and ERISA clients

Screen Potential Clients

I will provide a list of specific questions to help you verify if they’re a good fit for co-counseling

Create Growth & Impact

Meet the specific needs of more clients and build an additional revenue stream that grows your bottom line

I knew you were a strong representative who would have a good understanding of not only issues in LTD and PERS but also the issues we face with SSD representation.
